Its founder, Lavanya Narvania, always had a deep passion for storytelling. While studying Film Production in the UK, he realised that storytelling doesn’t belong only in cinema—it lives in interiors, in the pieces we choose, and in the way a space makes us feel.

Lavanya’s entrepreneurial spirit was shaped long before his time in London. He grew up watching his father—an avid entrepreneur and global supplier of exquisite décor pieces—build and nurture Ishela, a brand celebrated by leading retailers and luxury properties around the world. From witnessing the artistry, the craftsmanship, and the impact of well-made décor, Lavanya inherited an instinctive appreciation for design, cultural influence, and quality.
